Evan Neal and 8 other Alabama football players show up at Pro Day 2022

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WTOK) – Nine draft-eligible Crimson Tide football players competed in Pro Day 2022 at the University of Alabama.

Jalyn Armour-Davis, Slade Bolden, Christian Harris, Phidarian Mathis, Evan Neal, Chris Owens, LaBryan Ray, Brian Robinson Jr. and Daniel Wright all participated in field exercises. Christopher Allen, Josh Jobe, John Metchie III and Jameson Williams did not participate in the recorded exercises but were present.

Evan Neal was a big name at the Pro Day events that unfolded on Wednesday. Neal has not participated in any NFL Combine activities. He got to work for Pro Day 2022. Neal is a top 10 draft pick and he’s ready to be used by any team in any position.

“You can pretty much hook me up anywhere other than center and I can come in and have an impact,” Neal said. “But I see myself as a left or right tackle. Wherever, wherever a team needs me, I feel like I can come and play. »

32 NFL representatives attended Crimson Tides Pro Day, including some NFL coaches. New England Patriots head football coach Bill Belicheck and Dallas Cowboys head football coach Mike McCarthy were two of the coaches in attendance. Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert, Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Dan Quinn and New England Patriots senior football adviser Matt Patricia also showed up in Tuscaloosa.

Although Alabama quarterback Bryce Young did not participate in the Pro Day events, he did attend and was even caught talking with Coach McCarthy.

Head coach Nick Saban said: “A lot of players here want to get an invite, and we’re doing our best to create a platform for them to be successful in that regard. They all want the opportunity to play in the NFL one day, so we try to help them become the best players possible, so that they can have opportunities like this. I think the more successful our players are when they get opportunities in the NFL, the more it benefits our long-term program.

Alabama players will have another Pro Day opportunity on Wednesday, April 13. The 2022 NFL Draft will take place from Thursday, April 28 through Saturday, April 30.
