Your guide to the games of week 10

East Hartford (4-4) at Simsbury (4-4), 6:30 p.m .: A difficult season for both teams. But finished strong.

Hall (7-1) at New Britain (1-7), 6.30 p.m .: The best thing that could have happened to Hall was losing last week.

Maloney (7-1) at Glastonbury (2-6), 6.30pm: For Maloney, it’s a share of the CCC Tier 1 title, which is actually impressive for Maloney.

Southington (7-1) at Conard (3-5), 6.30pm: … Of course, Southington will claim he’s the only champion because he beat Maloney. But you didn’t beat Hall, did you?

Enfield (0-8) at Manchester (0-8), 6 p.m .: You can be sure that the winner of this winless showdown will savor the victory forever.

Berlin (3-5) to Platt (4-4), 6.30pm: Say this for the two teams: they go head to head. They are hard to beat.

Middletown (3-5) at Wethersfield (6-2), 7 p.m .: Wethersfield must win to have a playoff shot. But it’s a very different Middletown team than it was a month ago.

Newington (6-2) at Windsor (7-1), 7 p.m .: They’re L longshots. But here’s a chance for Newington to at least prove he’s really playoff-caliber.

Bristol Central (7-1) at Plainville (6-2), 6.30 p.m .: Interestingly, Bristol Central needs it more for class L than Plainville for class M.

Farmington (0-8) at Bristol Eastern (3-5), 6.30pm: Bristol Eastern’s final tune for what should be fun, the Battle of the Bell on Thanksgiving.

Windsor South (6-2) at Bloomfield (8-0), 7 p.m .: That should put an end to South Windsor’s weak L-Class playoff prospects for good.

RHAM (3-5) at EO Smith (1-7), 8:15 p.m .: RHAM’s last two opponents are a 1-15 combined. The Raptors would love a .500 season.

Avon (4-2) at East Catholic (2-5), 6:30 p.m .: All is not lost for Avon in the M class. There are three games left, including a key game against Rocky Hill.

Tolland (5-3) at Rocky Hill (5-2), 7 p.m .: Speaking of Terriers, they have to win to have a chance at a Class S spot. Tolland isn’t a snap, either.

ATI (4-3) at VG Techs (0-7), 6 p.m .: Do you remember the Wolverines? Don’t look now, but they’re making a class M playoff push

Prince Tech (4-4) at Platt Tech (3-4), 7 p.m .: The winner advances to the next level of the CTC.

Cheney Tech (7-1) at Quinebaug (7-1), 6 p.m .: At stake: the CTC title, a class L playoff berth (Cheney is on the verge of a win) and the hopes of Masuk, Wilton and Hand. Phew.

NFA (3-5) at Killingly (7-0), 6:30 p.m .: It was supposed to be the ECC game of the year. Now? It’s not even the biggest game in town.

Ludlowe (3-5) at Bridgeport Central (0-8), 6 p.m .: At least there’s Thanksgiving to look forward to.

Warde (1-6) at New Canaan (7-1), 7 p.m .: Defense has been Warde’s biggest problem this year. New Canaan’s offensive could use a pick-me-up.

Norwalk (5-3) at Wilton (6-2), 7 p.m .: If Norwalk goes down, the Bears can at least take Wilton with them.

Ridgefield (4-4) at Staples (6-2), 7 p.m .: If Ridgefield goes down, the Tigers can at least take Staples with them.

Danbury (3-5) at Trumbull (6-2), 7pm: Trumbull is back. But a win here only sets up a possible do or die game across town on Thanksgiving.

Kennedy (1-6) at WCA (3-4), 7 p.m .: A winning season and a second place in the NVL Brass still within the reach of the Spartans.

Woodland (5-3) at Naugatuck (6-1), 7 p.m .: The Pinho Trophy is in play for the first time in four years. Naugy also has aspirations for the Class L playoffs.

Morgan (6-1) at North Branford (2-5), 6:30 p.m .: Morgan’s last TD Course was three games ago and 17 touchdowns. They have been all Drew Nye passes since.

Coventry / WT / Bolton / Lyman (2-5) at Granby / Canton (5-2), 6:30 p.m .: For the Bears, it will be a fight to the end for a place in the M-Class playoffs.

Fairfield Prep (7-1) at Xavier (5-3), 7 p.m .: We’ve officially switched from Shelton to the Fairfield Prep Revenge Tour. Kron and Xavier won on a 2 point last time.

Shelton (7-2) at Cheshire (4-4), 7 p.m .: There’s not much Shelton can do except win, wait, and try not to worry.

Branford (6-1) at Guilford (4-4), 7 p.m .: The season is almost over and Guilford can finally get excited about an opponent: playoff prospect and rival Branford.

North Haven (3-5) at Hillhouse (1-6), 6 p.m .: North Haven are the best 3-5 team we’ve seen. Has not been upgraded once this year.

Hamden (5-2) at Law (5-2), 7 p.m .: Every game from now on is a playoff game for these two.

Bethel (1-7) at Masuk (6-2), 7 p.m .: Win this, and it’s a one-game regular season for Masuk.

New Milford (5-3) at Brookfield (3-5), 7 p.m .: At Stake: New Milford’s first winning season in 11 years.

New Fairfield (7-1) at Newtown (5-3), 7 p.m .: Beat the LL Newtown Class and you could be worthy enough for the S Class playoffs, Rebs.

Hartford Public (2-6) at Sheehan (5-3), 6:30 p.m .: You did well, Harry. Have a good trip and best wishes!

Weston (2-6) at East Haven (1-5), 7 p.m .: If nothing else, this is a good way for everyone to practice for their Thanksgiving rivalry games.

NWC (2-5) at Lewis Mills (3-5), noon: Ditto with this game.

Northwest United (5-2) at Bullard / Kolbe (3-5), noon: NWU has quietly won four in a row and a good move to make it five.

Thames River (6-1) at Wilcox / Kaynor (0-7), 6 p.m .: After that, Thames River’s season comes down to games against ATI and Quinebaug with a Class L berth as the prize.

Ledyard (6-2) at Woodstock (6-2), noon: Both of those programs have come a long way to get here: a playoff-caliber game in mid-November.

Plainfield (4-3) at Stonington (4-4), 5 p.m .: Bloom has certainly fallen from the Stonington rose. But still, a good season considering.

Windham (3-4) at New London (4-3), 6:30 p.m .: Where has it been all season, Whippets? Can they also bring down the Whalers?

McMahon (3-4) at Darien (8-0), 1:30 p.m .: Everyone stays healthy for Thanksgiving.

Westhill (0-7) at St-Joseph (7-1), 11 a.m .: Same.

Stamford (0-8) at Greenwich (5-3), 1 p.m .: Yet the same.

Haddam-Killingworth (2-5) at CREC (1-7), 11 a.m .: HK is playing better, but is now hitting the road until next year.

Valley Regional / Old Lyme (2-5) at OSW (0-6), 11 a.m .: Valley has a lot of opportunities to finish strong.

Cromwell / Portland (7-0) at Coginchaug / Hale Ray / East Hampton (5-2), 1 p.m .: Coginchaug is in trouble if he can’t. C / P can win the Sassacus title and a place in S class.

SMSA (3-4) at Windsor Locks / Suffield / East Granby (1-6), 1 p.m .: Just work on getting better for the next year, guys.

Amity (4-3) at Harding (4-5), 10am: The Spartans are a 3-point overtime loss to Sheehan and a 1-point loss to New Milford for erasing work in Class L.
